Our Top Lightweight Travel Trailers with Full Bathrooms in 2024

Published on January 4th, 2024 by Chelsea Gonzales

The best lightweight travel trailers with full bathrooms offer a freedom like no other. You can tow with a light truck, squeeze into smaller spaces in your smaller rig and answer nature’s call while boondocking outside of a campground. If you’re in the market for a new RV, check out some of our favorite lightweight trailers with full bathrooms in 2024.

2024’s Best Lightweight Travel Trailers with Full Bathroom (Shower, Toilet, and Sink)

Many of the best small, light travel trailers don’t include bathrooms. It seems RV manufacturers felt they needed to cut corners somewhere and chose the bathroom as the place to do it. Unfortunately, this just doesn’t work for many campers.

You see, not having a bathroom on board limits your adventures. You’ll have to stick to campgrounds with restroom facilities and you’ll have to walk to those facilities every single time nature calls. Meanwhile, those with restrooms in their campers can shower and use the restroom anytime and anywhere.

This leads many people to wonder where they might find a small, lightweight trailer that also offers a full bathroom. The good news? They do exist! Our top models of 2024 prove it.

LIV RV 19BHD

The Light Innovative Vehicle (LIV) is an awesome little rig that is made with weight and durability in mind. It’s made with thermoplastic, which cannot rot and is very lightweight. Additionally, the trailer roof does not have any seams, meaning it cannot leak. On top of all that, recycled plastic is used in the production of LIV trailers, making it a relatively eco-friendly option.

LIV RV trailers come in a few different floor plans, but each and every one includes a full bathroom. This means you can choose according to your tastes without worrying about whether you’ll have a shower or toilet onboard. We especially love the 19BHD, which is super compact but still has absolutely everything you need onboard, including bunk beds for the kiddos and cargo storage.

Features and Specs

  • Base MSRP: $18,990
  • Gross vehicle weight rating: 3,500 lbs
  • Unloaded vehicle weight: 2,250 lbs
  • Exterior length: 21 feet, 2 inches

Safari puts out some really interesting and innovative lightweight trailers, including options with retractable roofs for easier towing. The trailer we are recommending today does not have one of these nifty roofs, but it is surprisingly lightweight for its size. In fact, it might just be the lightest 24-foot trailer on the market, meaning more living space without the need for a heavy duty truck.

The other thing we love about the Safari Condo Alto F2414? The full bathrooms, of course! The spacious shower is separate from the toilet, meaning you won’t be stuck drying the toilet each time you shower, and you’ll have plenty of room to get clean. The trailer also features sleeping space for up to six people, along with plenty of room to move around.

Features and Specs

  • Base MSRP: $40,181
  • Gross vehicle weight rating: 4,500 lbs
  • Unloaded vehicle weight: 2,850 lbs

We love that this tiny RV manages to fit a queen size bed, a chaise dinette, two single bunks, and a full kitchen. If you choose the Beast Mode Package, you’ll also get things like a 2,000-watt inverter, 200-watt solar panel, and premium lighting.

No matter which package you choose, your IBEX will come equipped with a handy-dandy bathroom. The bathroom in this particular floor plan is actually relatively spacious and manages to fit in a decent sized rear shower, as well as a toilet and a tiny little sink that is perfect for washing hands and brushing teeth.

There’s a reason why our next favorite makes many “Best Lightweight Travel Trailers” lists. The new Sol Dusk Travel Trailer is one beautiful little luxury camper. It features an enormous front window that allows you panoramic views of each and every gorgeous campsite you have the pleasure of visiting.

The Sol Dusk Travel Trailer uses a versatile furniture setup to make the most of the space. Depending on your needs, you can have a comfy lounge, a huge king size bed, or two separate twin-size beds. We also appreciate the awning and slide-out outdoor galley kitchen included with the trailer!

Of course, we can’t forget to talk about the bathroom in this bad boy. Sadly, there just wasn’t room in the tiny trailer to include a separate shower and toilet. That said, the wet bath works just fine and even includes a covered TP holder, so you don’t have to worry about your tissue getting wet while you shower.

  • Base MSRP: $50,000–$75,000

The Keystone Bullet Crossfire line of lightweight trailers with full bathrooms are full of excellent amenities for those seeking a light trailer that will offer all the comforts of home. Our favorite is the new 1890RB floor plan, which includes the biggest bathroom of the entire lineup. We love how there is plenty of elbow room in the shower and that the bathroom counter has space for our toiletries.

The slide-out can house either a large U-dinette or a reclining couch depending on your preferences, and there is a couch + Murphy bed combo at the end of the trailer opposite the bathroom. Of course, there is also a nice little kitchen in the rig, so making your favorite meals on the go is a cinch.

Most people believe that pop-up tent campers’ floorplans never include bathrooms. While it is true that the vast majority of these lightweight campers do not offer indoor showering facilities, there are a few pop-ups out there that do. One is the Rockwood High Wall Series HW277.

This awesome trailer includes two large beds that pop out on either end. The U-dinette can seat the whole family and is set in a slide-out, meaning you have more floor space than you would in a typical pop-up camper.

There is a complete interior kitchen as well as a nice little outdoor kitchen for convenience. The shower and toilet combo that are located inside of the trailer allow you to avoid campground bathrooms entirely if you like.

  • Base MSRP: $33,157
  • Hitch weight: 380 lbs
  • Gross vehicle weight rating: 3,880 lbs
  • Unloaded vehicle weight: 3,334 lbs

We love Lance RVs. This company doesn’t just make a great truck camper. The also make well built small travel trailers with floor plans that are pretty much always well thought out, making them super nice to use. We particularly like the Lance 1475, which weighs a mere 3,225 pounds but has absolutely everything you need for a comfortable trip, including decent interior storage and a full bathroom.

The little kitchen includes a stovetop, sink, and fridge, and there are a couple of comfy chairs and a table right across from the cooking space, proving an ideal spot for relaxing. The queen-size bed is big enough for two, and the full bathroom includes a corner shower, a small sink, and a toilet.

If you like this model but would like a slide and a table for more comfort, consider the Lance 1575 instead.
