Discovering Longstreet Inn & Casino RV Resort: A Perfect Base to Explore Death Valley and Beyond

While RVing in the Southern California desert, a Palm Springs campground neighbor told us about Longstreet Inn & Casino RV Resort. It seemed like a perfect big rig RV campground for visiting Death Valley and the surrounding area. Since we were planning to head into Utah, this RV resort seemed like a great stop along the way.

We hit the road in our 44-foot fifth wheel RV with a plan to stay a little over a month. Since we’re still working full-time in our remote IT jobs, we like to stay in one place for at least 30 days. Long term stays let us play during evenings and weekends to explore some of the coolest RV destinations.

Big Rig Considerations for RV Resorts like Longstreet Inn

As content creators who review campgrounds, our perspective is from navigating our 44-foot, triple-axle fifth wheel and 22-foot truck. It’s important to note that there’s a significant difference between a Class A RV and even a fifth wheel that’s longer than 35-feet.

If you’re thinking of visiting Longstreet Inn, which is highly rated and known to be accommodating to big rigs, there are a few things to consider.

When a campground advertises as being “big rig friendly,” always ask for specifics about how to navigate the park and get into your campsite.

Want to know if an RV campground is truly big rig friendly? Consider factors like maneuverability within the park. Is it easy to back in or pull through sites?

We make it our mission to find and review RV campgrounds that are truly big rig friendly. They should also provide amenities necessary for today’s remote workers and digital nomads.
