MERRIT ISLAND, Fla. — The Family Motor Coach Association is once again heading out west when California hosts the organization’s 91st family reunion March 26 to 29 at the Fairplex in Pomona.
The event offers attendees an opportunity to participate in the RV Safety & Education Foundation’s safety -focused seminar program.
This year FMCA has once again sought the seminar expertise of the RVSEF and Walter Cannon, its executive director, who is an RV industry recognized authority on topics of load management, RV tires, trailering, driving, road use legislation and other safety-related topics of interest to motorhome and RV enthusiasts, the release explained.
Safety seminars at the event will include an extended two-session RV driving safety program covering everything from getting ready to leave to backing into the campsite safely. Sessions are March 27 and 28 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. in Seminar Room 7. The seminar has an associated $20 cost and provides the attendee with a completion certificate that can apply in many states for a discounted insurance rate on RV coverage.
Visit www.FMCA.com for more information and to register.
The foundation is also presenting its RV weight and tire safety seminar March 28 from 1:30 to 2:45 p.m. in seminar Room 10. Here attendees will discover the most accurate and honest interpretation of tire standards and statistics as they relate to weight and balance of the RV. In turn they’ll discover how to get the most life and safety out of their RV tires.
“We’re excited to offer our seminars to FMCA attendees as well as participate in the Ask the Experts roundtable March 27. We will also be offering our services weighing coaches and aiding enthusiasts in determining proper tire inflation,” said Cannon. “Our senior RV weighing team, Trey and Susan Selman, will be available at the show site in the RVSEF Booth 110 helping attendees schedule weighing and answer any questions related to the foundation, RV weight and RV tire safety.”
