Summary:

Traverse City State Park campground is a bike ride away from the downtown area. It is also located right across the street from the beach! It is a nice campground that has the old school camping feel to it. The camp hosts are great and they have activities scheduled throughout the weekend.

It is a start park that located within the city limits of Traverse City, so you have to go into it knowing what you are going to get. We would go back and camp there again because we loved the location and love Traverse City. If you are looking for a nice, quiet campground to relax and to enjoy some amenities, this one isn’t for you. But if you are looking for a fun and busy campground and you want to get out and explore then I highly recommend it.
