To be honest, when we were headed to Thousand Trails Orlando for the first time, we weren’t to sure what to expect. It is one of the Thousand Trails parks where members get free or discounted sites and others just pay retail price.

When we got there we were pleasantly surprised. The process of getting a site is interesting because no one has assigned sites, it is first come, first served. But once we were settled we really started to enjoy it.

It is a great year-round family location, especially in the winter. When we were there, there were more than 20 other families at the park. This was great for our kids and we made some awesome friends.

The resort has two pools, a hot tub, pickleball, shuffle board, and just lots of open fields to run around and play in.

The location is also great because it is about 30 minutes from Disney World and everything that Disney and Orlando has to offer. The campground also does a great job of having activities on site during the winter months, like movie nights, bingo, and balloon shows.

Bryanna - TT Orlando 3

  • Nice size sites
  • Lots of open space/fields
  • Great location near Disney World
  • 30- and 50-amp sites
  • Full hook-up sites
  • Two pools
  • Hot tub
  • Onsite snack bar
  • Game room
  • Plenty of activities for people of all ages

  • Check in is pretty crazy
  • Has water issues (where you don’t have water) from time to time
  • Has electric issues (where you don’t have power) from time to time
  • Only a few sites are 50amp and everyone wants them
  • It is a large campground – so if you aren’t by the garbage cans you can be FAR away from them.
  • A lot of the campsites have a weak Verizon signal
