From the Aransas Pass newspaper:
Horstman and his wife Janie own a home in the Mobile area. He said he decided to buy an RV to live in when he took the job in Ingleside. Of the 25 welders and inspectors from the Mobile area, 14 of them live in RVs.
“In my mind, I thought it would be better to buy something that in the end would actually belong to me,” he explained. “I have a hard time giving somebody the money I worked for and I don’t get any return on it.”
He also plans to have the RV available for “fun stuff” in the Mobile beach area when the job opportunities improve there.
