The Aransas Pass Progress: Meet Kelli Barton & Miss Scarlett

Form the writers at The Aransas Pass Progress.

Kelli Barton calls her 1953 Field and Stream trailer Miss Scarlett. With a red and white exterior and the quote, “Frankly dear, I don’t give a damn,” by Rhett Butler in Gone With the Wind, painted under the rear window, the trailer expresses Barton’s love of all things vintage.

Barton found Scarlett in 2013 and purchased the trailer on her birthday that year. Her plan was to use the vintage trailer for camping trips but now Barton lives a simplistic life full time in her 13-foot trailer.

Scarlett previously was used on different movie set locations for Cat Cordova then as a vintage mobile boutique. When Barton purchased her, she was an empty shell.
