If you are looking for a perfect outdoor service project for you and your family–and want a bargain at the same time — consider planning an RV camping trip the last weekend in September to America’s Public Lands.
‘Helping Hands for America’s Lands‘ is the theme for this year’s National Public Lands Day and there are thousands of projects listed including helping the Nebraska’s Homestead National Monument staff count deer for the deer survey. “Walkers will hike about three quarters of a mile through the tall grass prairie. Spotters will be stationed at various points along the west, north and south boundaries to count deer as they leave the monument.” –Click here for more information
