RV Picklers: Care-A-Vanners — RVer’s give back

From the bloggers at RV Picklers.

We learned about RV Care-A-Vanners from Dale, a reader who commented on our post on Harvest Hosts.  And let me thank Dale for his comment.  First because he has made me aware of a program that I can now share with each of you.  But secondly, and more importantly, because he has added something to our RV travel plans moving forward.

I was familiar with Habitat for Humanity, the international, non-profit organization that was founded in 1968 and brought to national prominence by President Carter and his wife Rosalynn in 1984.  But I didn’t realize that there is a formal program for RVer’s that want to give back.  Many RV Groups like Family Motor Coach, Escapees and some RV manufacturers have partnered with Habitat for Humanity to bring RVers to their build sites.  But most are individual owners of recreational vehicles that volunteer a little or a lot as part of the RV Care-a-Vanner’s program.
