Good thing we traveled down to Georgia in our Roadtrek. We thought we’d be staying with our son and his family as we waited for next week’s huge State Championship Football Game as our grandson Nick’s team made their way to Macon and the contest that will determine who’s the best in the state.
Alas, both Jennifer and I got sick. Nothing debilitating. Just bad colds and coughs. Maybe a touch of a sore throat and a little laryngitis, too.
But that’”s not the issue.
Making sure Nick doesn’t get sick is what’s important.
So we moved out. Instead of staying with our son and his family, or even driveway camping, we’re camped out at the Parks of Cheehaw Albany, Ga. We took our germs with us. Far from our running back and wide receiver grandson.
