On the Road of Retirement: Madison, Wis., farmer’s market, biking and hiking

From the bloggers at On the Road of Retirement.

Our short stay in Dubuque Iowa came to a close and so did our stay in Iowa. We drove Northeast around 95 miles before pulling into Lake Farm Campground just outside of Madison, Wis. We stayed here once before a few years ago and knew this would be a great place to hide out for the July 4th weekend.

Lake Farm Park is an electric only site but online I found site 3 was available and it was close to a water spigot where we could fill up with water after setting up, so we did. They have free WI-FI, a dump station and great (free) showers so we may not have to worry about dumping during our entire stay here. What is also great about this park is the proximity to the bike trails in the greater Madison area.
