Yesterday I drove the motorhome the 233 miles from Bakersfield to Palm Desert, Calif. It was a very tiring and stressful five-hour drive across the Tehachapi Mountains. Lots of steep and winding up and down grades, lots of traffic, lots of speeding drivers and lots of 18-wheelers.
Near Tehachapi summit there are hundreds of wind generators. This area is famous for strong winds. In 2011, Mary and I saw three 18-wheelers on their sides within a range of one-half mile.
