Charlie’s Bark Park is a two-acre off-leash recreation area that, barely into its second season, has been recognized in the RV park industry as ahead of the pack. Trailer Life Magazine featured it, and it was named the top pet-friendly RV park in New York and one of the best in the country by The Good Sam RV Travel & Savings Guide.

Lake George RV Park President and CEO Dave King said the park was built in response to guest feedback. A dog park was a recurring request at the site that has been pet friendly since its founding in 1966 by his parents.

King said that’s not a surprise, as about 60 percent of the park’s guests travel with a furry family member. What is now Charlie’s Bark Park was built as part of a master plan for the park that includes several other state-of-the-art updates. Charlie was his father Victor’s dog in the 1980s.
