Summary:

Poche's RV Park is a unique campground located 10 miles northwest of Lafayette, Louisiana. Situated on 85 acres, this sprawling campground's 88 RV sites border catfish ponds and are easy to maneuver into.

Charming and serene, the first thing many guests notice about this rural park is its obvious lack of road noise.

Poche's RV Park is affiliated with Poche's Meat Market and Restaurant. Located just 2 miles down the road, it features fabulous Cajun cooking. Be sure to pick up a lunch menu from the campground office, and maybe even check them out for dinner. The evening menu is limited, but the food no less fabulous for it. Their specialty meats are famous, and are served in multiple restaurants in the area.

  • Small laundry room on site with four washers and four dryers — cost is $1 to $1.25 per wash or dry
  • Campground has a small, seasonal pool
  • Inviting activity center boasts free Wi-Fi, houses a commercial kitchen for campground activities, and has clean and convenient restrooms
  • The activity center is built over the water of one of the fish ponds and has a full wrap around deck that is perfect for lounging on or fishing

Cons

  • $5 per night extra person fees for more than two people per site
  • $10 flat fee for golf cart usage during your stay (this is to use your own personal cart, this is not for a rental)
  • No public showers; there are “pool showers,” but they offer no privacy or heated water
  • Not all sites have picnic tables and fire rings. These are not to be moved, so take that into consideration when choosing a site.
