Outside Interests: Waterfall Lakes Campground, Banff National Park, Alberta

From the bloggers at Outside Interests

“We were lucky to slip into an open spot at 11:30 a.m. on a busy Friday in late July,” wrote Campendium reviewers “Chris&David.” “This NP campground along the Icefields Parkway between Lake Louise and Jasper is one of the few available or open this summer.”

Located 57 kms north of Lake Louise on Hwy 93 North, this scenic campground is “a gorgeous spot along the Bow River and the southern tip of Lower Waterfowl Lake. A footbridge over the river from the campground gives hikers perfect access to the trailhead for both Cirque Lake and Chephren Lake. Both are moderate hikes up to emerald waters at the base of rocky glaciers.”
