ALEXANDRIA, Va. — As soon as Lisa McElroy saw the Craigslist posting, she fell in love, Yahoo Travel reported.

“Friends tried to warn me. Possibly rotten to the core. Probably a scammer.  An awfully long trip for what might turn out to be only a very temporary crush,” she wrote for Yahoo Travel. “But, middle-age crisis or not (I’m 46), I knew. This was it for me. I had to drive the 310 miles across the state to bring home my new true love:  a 1968 Scotty Sportsman camper.”
