Magellan debuts off road GPS navigator

At this year’s Easter Jeep Safari Vendor Expo March 24 and 25 in Moab, Utah, Magellan be showcasing its eXplorist TRX7 off-road navigation device and demonstrating its capabilities out on the trails with attendees.

Making its first debut at the Easter Jeep Safari Vendor Expo, is the TRX7 off-road navigator.  It features a 7-inch high-resolution touchscreen protected by a ruggedized IP67 shock-resistant casing. It includes a genuine RAM mount (depending on model), hi-res (to 10 meters) 3D and 2D topographic base map views, and easy-to-use interface for following trails, recording tracks, and marking waypoints.

Crowd-sourced tracks provide a constantly updating library, allowing users to plan adventures, add pictures and comments to trails, and share with other off-roaders.

The device also comes preloaded with over 44,000 designated OHV trails, making it the most comprehensive and purpose-built GPS navigators available for off-road enthusiasts, the company claimed.

The eXplorist TRX7 will be available to purchase at the Easter Jeep Safari for $649.99.
