From the Jacksonville, Fla., Times-Union:
The card that artist Jaime Howard gives to people bears the slogan “Have Brush, Will Travel.” It’s a philosophy she lives. Last summer, she and her daughter, Janna, took her 10-foot 1965 Zipper travel trailer to Maine, where Howard taught a plein air painting workshop. This summer she’s planning an even more ambitious outing to Monterey, Calif., to take part in a the Plein Air Convention.
Getting there will be a big part of the fun. They will travel together in Middlebrooks’ 14-foot 1964 Zip camper, known as the Bubba Jane II (named for Middlebrooks’ grandmothers, one named Jane, the other nicknamed Bubba).
At the end of each day — whether they’ve traveled three hours or eight hours or something in between — they will spend a few hours painting.
