Summary:

The Hershey RV and Camping Resort it set up off a county road back in the hills of Pennsylvania. It is a beautiful park that is surrounded by trees, has a pond, and some natural hidden gems throughout the park.

The surrounding area offers great local attractions, such as Hershey Chocolate World, HersheyPark and the Pennsylvania State Capitol. Plus, within a 45-minute drive, you can visit beautiful Amish Country and taste some exceptional Amish food. Valley Forge and Philadelphia are less than 90 minutes away.

This campground is worth a visit and you need to make sure you set aside enough time to enjoy the campground and everything else the area has to offer.

Pros

    Campground offers full hook ups

  • LARGE pool with a nice shallow area for little kids
  • Indoor hot tub
  • Pavilions to host get-togethers
  • Lot’s of areas for exploring either in the woods or by the creek that runs through the park
  • Great laundry facilities
  • Large, spacious sites
  • Large recreation hall with pool table, ping pong, and arcade games
  • Nice tennis/pickle ball courts
  • Hershey Chocolate World and HersheyPark is only about 15 minutes away
  • Lot’s of great factory tours nearby, such as the Hershey chocolate plant
  • Close to Amish Country
  • Pull through sites
  • Cabin rentals available if you have guests visiting without an RV or tent
  • Well run and clean park, but very strict about speed limits and rules
  • Has some great sites that are hidden back in the trees off of the main roads
  • Good cell coverage for Verizon

Cons

  • Lots of hills, which can be challenging for getting into your site depending on what spots are open.
  • It is not off of the main highway so you have to drive through multiple towns and some tight roads to get to the campground.
  • Most major stores are at least a 30-minute drive away
