From the bloggers at Gypsy Journal RV.
I’ve been working hard on the new issue of the Gypsy Journal and I’m still at it, but getting closer to wrapping it up every day. When I knocked off to write the blog at 10 last night I had eight pages to go. Since the temperature is supposed to be in the triple digits this weekend we don’t plan to go anywhere, so I should be able to get it done with no problem.
I’m looking forward to getting it out of the way so I can get back to work on my next Big Lake book. It was over halfway finished when I had to put it on the back burner to work on the new issue.
While I was busy with that, Miss Terry was wading through a mountain of paperwork. I swear it multiplies at night while we sleep! When she finally got it all finished, she made a delicious dinner of Anchovy Garlic Aioli, one of my favorites. Then, later on, she made the dough for another of my favorites, her fabulous pizza, which will be tonight’s dinner. Yes, I know, I’m a spoiled and very lucky man.
In spite of the heat here in Las Vegas there are still folks coming and going from the Thousand Trails campground. Even here in the upgraded 50 amp sites it’s still pretty tight. Yesterday afternoon a big fifth wheel backed in next to us, and the owner then parked his full size extended cab pickup across the front of his rig and our motorhome. I like to think that folks who do things like that are just unknowing newbies and not just jerks. I hope we don’t have an emergency and have to move in a hurry, because I don’t think our Winnebago could move it.
