One of the places we have been considering as a winter base and possible future home if and when we ever hang up the keys is St. Augustine. The oldest continuously occupied European-established settlement, Saint Augustine was founded in 1565 by the Spanish and has a long and colorful history.
We visited there a couple of times before for a few days at a time and always enjoyed it. Of all the places we’ve seen in Florida, Terry and I agree that it’s the one place that has just about everything we’re looking for. Nice beaches, a fishing pier, and enough to see and do to keep us busy every day of the week. So we drove up yesterday to check it out again,
