From the bloggers at Gypsy Journal RV.
We lived in Arizona many years before we started fulltiming, and though a lot of people love it, especially in the wintertime, we’d much rather be in Florida. I’ll take beaches and mosquitoes over desert and scorpions any day of the week. Some people like the low humidity here in the desert, but with that comes dry skin and some allergies that we don’t particularly care to deal with it we can avoid them.
But if you have to be someplace, there are a lot worse places to be then Arizona. Even though we had a cold spell, it got up to around 70° yesterday here in Apache junction. I know some folks that were shoveling snow yesterday!
And you don’t see things like this in Minnesota or Ohio this time of year. These orange and grapefruit trees are right here in our RV park.
