Gypsy Journal RV: Headed to Cajun country

From the bloggers at Gypsy Journal RV.

Thank you to everyone who sent us congratulatory anniversary e-mails, and posted Facebook comments or comments here on the blog yesterday. You all make us feel very special and very much loved.

We woke up to pouring rain yesterday which continued well into the afternoon, accompanied by thunder and the occasional flash of lightning. We had planned to go back into Katy for dinner at Little V Vietnamese Bistro, the same place we had dinner Friday night. Yes, it’s that good. I know if we lived anywhere nearby I’d probably eat there two or three nights a week. With all of the rain I wasn’t sure we’d make the trip, but by about 3 PM the storm had moved out of the area and the sky had turned blue.

Greg and Jan came over for a while so Greg could help me with a couple of technical issues on my computers and we shared a fresh-baked pecan pie that Miss Terry had made. It was the best pie I’ve ever had my life, hands down. I know Greg and Jan enjoyed it just as much as I did.
