When life takes a sharp left turn, it is a lot easier to toss around the phrase about making lemonade from the lemons, than it is to actually make the lemonade.
When Ginny McKinney’s dear husband, Dan, died of a heart attack while they were shopping for RVs at an RV dealership on a sunny Saturday in March of 2013, her dream of an adventurous life on the road with her BFF seemed to abruptly end.
Dan had been, by all accounts, a healthy 62 year old looking forward to retirement the following year. Since Ginny had just retired, the couple decided they would buy the RV now and spend weekends tooling around Colorado learning the essentials of towing, parking, hook-ups and park etiquette. By the end of the year when Dan retired, they would be ready to hit the open road.
