Summary:

Campers who stay places long term often feel limited to campsites with full sewer hook ups for easy emptying of grey and black tanks. The problem with this is you usually miss out on some of the most beautiful and secluded spots this way.

The FloJet Macerator allows you to empty your tanks by connecting whatever length standard hose you have. It allows you to reach dump stations that are hundreds of feet away or easily fill a portable tote along. We all know this is a dirty job, but this macerator makes it just a little bit more tolerable.

Pros

  • Connects directly to the standard 3-inch RV waste outlet so you don’t need to use a sewer hose
  • Plastic storage case is included
  • Provides minimal user contact with sewer waste, which provides a cleaner emptying experience
  • Garden hose discharge port connects to any standard size hose
  • Side port allows for fresh water rinse access.
  • Allows you to empty your tanks into a portable tote along or septic tank hundreds of feet away
  • The macerator grinds waste down to 1/8-inch particle size so it can be pumped through a standard hose.
  • Has the ability to empty tanks quickly. An average 30-gallon tank will empty in three minutes.
  • Has an easy to use on/off remote to start and stop the macerator
  • USCG and CSA listed
  • Offers run dry protection
  • The pump is lightweight at less than 9 pounds.
  • Offers a one-year limited warranty

Cons

  • The initial installation can be complicated if you don’t have electrical experience. The pump needs to be hardwired for best use.
  • Must be used with a 12-volt battery
  • If you choose not to hardwire, you will need to purchase additional wire and alligator clips to reach your RV battery
  • Will need to purchase garden hose separately and optional clear 3-inch elbow piece so you can visualize waste coming into the pump.
