Summary:

This very small park right on the Colorado River was surprisingly nice. It doesn’t look like much on the satellite view, but we ending up with a partial river view from our full hookup site for the $15 a night passport America rate.

The campground offers a few sites with great river views and a two-story deck right in front of them. The laundry room/ shower building is newer, and it is about a two-mile drive from Interstate 40. We plan to go back again when we have some time -- and enjoy a river view site.

Pros

  • Wonderful river view and boat ramp
  • Nice landscaping with grass, some flowers and new retaining walls
  • Good price, especially with Passport America discount
  • Riverview sites available for about $40 a night
  • Full hookups at all sites

Cons

  • Space at the site was so short we had to disconnect the tow vehicle
  • Some freeway noise
  • Need to call ahead because there are not very many spaces available
  • The motel has seen better days
