Counter space is always scarce in RVs, especially small ones. When Lazy Daze built my coach, they included a 15″ wide x 12″ deep drop-leaf counter extension to provide a little extra room to work. What they didn’t include was a cutting board, other than the underside of one of the sink covers.
Meanwhile, I kept looking at that drop-leaf counter extension and thinking “Why isn’t this bigger… and why isn’t it a cutting board?” So I killed two birds with one stone by mounting a 15″ x 17″ hard maple cutting board in its place.
There’s nothing like homemade bread! I did without for nearly twenty years, until affordable bread machines appeared on the market. I bought one, feeling ashamed of myself for “cheating”… but after I smelled and tasted that first loaf, I didn’t care!
