The original teardrop trailer with a rowboat roof was built by the Tow-Row company in Lynnwood, Wash., in the early 1960s. While plans for this combination camper have been floating around for a few years now, the American Dream Trailer Company in Portland, Oreg., now builds them for customers.
The company makes the custom, fiberglass trailers for campers who want the best of both worlds: a comfortable place to sleep and a compact rowboat for quiet fishing trips.
The trailer weighs only 650 pounds, the boat 86 pounds.
Constructed on a 4′ by 8′ trailer, two people can sleep comfortably inside. The sleeping area has one side door and a small window.
