The destinations of a journey in an RV are exciting, but let us not forget about the journey.
U.S. Highway 395 out of the High Desert traveling north offers many beautiful, historical, and natural destinations for great side trips along the way. We will touch on a few. Some, you may have seen. Others, you may have passed on the road several times, not knowing there is a great story associated with it.
After very little time headed north, you will approach Randsburg. This is a living mining town with a rich mining history. Just a couple of minutes off of 395, there are antiques available, and a great general store that still makes phosphate sodas just like the days when the town was new.
