Meet Zoe, Atticus, Lincoln, Savannah, and Scarlett. No, they’re not people—or cats, or any other creature, for that matter. They’re a group of five tiny houses, located about 45 minutes outside of Portland, Oregon, and each one has a distinct personality befitting its name.
Located in the Mt. Hood Tiny House Village, the miniature dwellings were named and characterized by Annie Colletti, social media and communications manager at Equity Lifestyle Properties, the company that owns and operates the village, as well as about 200 campgrounds and RV resorts across the country under the Thousand Trials and Encore brands. “We have yurts, cabins, all sorts of different rental options, but since this [project] was so different, we thought giving them names and personalities would help people be emotionally attached to these particular tiny houses,” she says.
