A Fort Worth family is getting ready to go on a trip of a lifetime, and the reason for it is one many loving parents can relate to.
Johnathan and Kristie Gatica decided they would quit their jobs and buy an RV to take their two sons Dakota and Hayden on a cross country road trip.
Dakota, 17 and Hayden 11 both are wheelchair bound and are living with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. It’s an illness that effects their body and their ability to live life beyond the comforts of their homes.
Although their condition may be limiting their parents are determined to change their future outlook.
Johnathan Gatica said, “We’ve been talking about it for months about doing something that they will be able to experience. Something pretty grand.”
