Campendium: On the road in Colorado

From the bloggers at Campendium.

We spent the month of July scouting campgrounds from Mesa Verde National Park to Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado.

Mancos State Park is a beautiful campground located about 20 minutes from the entrance to Mesa Verde National Park. If you want to be closer to the National Park, you might consider Ancient Cedars Mesa Verde RV Resort. If you want to be in the park, your option is Morefield Campground but the reviews are mixed.

While in Silverton, we loved our spot at Sultan Camping Area, and would recommend any of the nearby Kendall, Anvil and Golden Horn free dispersed camping areas. If you want to have a campsite with a fee, check out South Mineral.
