1. Don’t Go at Peak Times
It’s best to head to a farmers’ market early or late, when it’s typically less crowded. The early morning hours offer the best produce, because the best goods go first. However, late arrivals at the farmers’ market usually get the best deals from farmers who are trying to liquidate produce. This less-common time to visit also means more opportunity to speak with the farmers about what to buy.
