RV Life: Vehicle camping tents for RV toads

lead

(Nov. 16, 2016) -- If you’re like most RVers, your love of the outdoors started with tent camping adventures. With a four-wheeled vehicle, tent and sleeping bag you could go nearly anywhere. Watson Wander: Falling leaves and family fun in Delaware

img_7625

(Nov. 16, 2016) -- Our timing has been off for optimum fall foliage viewing this year. We left Vermont just as the leaves were starting to turn, saw only a bit of color on the Cape and in Rhode Island, and then by the time we got to Connecticut it was more like winter than fall. So as you can imagine, we were thrilled to find fall in full-on frenzy mode upon arrival in Delaware.

winnie-in-storage

(Nov. 16, 2016) -- Yesterday we moved the Winnebago to the storage area here at our little manufactured home community, and Terry and I both found ourselves getting misty eyed. Even though we’ve been living in our house for almost three weeks now, I think storing the motorhome finally made it hit home to us that after over 17 years of wandering the country with no home base, we are not fulltime RVers anymore.

Travels with Twinkles: Silver City, N.M.

img_1884

(Nov. 15, 2016) -- In the morning, after the storm, with the wind gone and the skies clearing, we depart Rockhound Sate Park for Silver City, New Mexico. It’s a short ride of about an hour on route 180 north. It was interesting to see water flowing in the Mimbres River and water sitting in low areas along the highway.

The Fit RV: Protecting the second alternator

splash-guard-640x480

(Nov. 15, 2016) -- If you read my post on our Generator Free RV, you know that one of the main components of that install is a second alternator. You also know that said second alternator rides pretty low up front. It’s all but daring me to run over road debris, curbs, gutters, and what have you. Doing something to protect that very expensive second alternator was one of the items on my “Next Steps” list in that post.
