Arizona Oasis RV Park in Ehrenberg, Ariz.

Riverside camping on the California/Arizona border

Summary:

This Colorado Riverside park is about a half-mile off Interstate 10, right at the Arizona/California border. Some of the sites overlook the river, and are spacious. We had an inter-site pull-through that was tight, but had its own orange trees.

The store is well stocked, and staff friendly. There was a lodge with slow Internet available, and a laundry room. The public boat launch is in the park. Looks like it would be a great place to party in the summer, but we were there in January, so it was fairly quiet.

Pros

  • Close to freeway
  • Nice river views from some sites
  • Walking trails along the river and gravel beach area.
  • Boat launch in park
  • Hot tub had over-park views.
  • Well stocked store, which was good because the town has no grocery store.
  • Gated entrance
  • Passport America half-price discount up to one week

Cons

  • Pool was very cloudy when we saw it, so we did not use it.
  • Closest shopping is a half-hour away in Blythe, Calif.
  • All gravel park
  • Very slow Internet. But, Verizon tested between 2 to 5 mbs upload, depending on the day. Best to aim booster at a cell tower across the river, in California north of the park in the palms, tower on site at the park was not good.
