An app controls new multi-media Jensen JWM6A stereo

ASA Electronics, an international manufacturer of audio and video mobile electronics, introduces the JWM6A 12-volt wallmount stereo.

It builds upon the company’s popular line of app controlled source units. With jControl, the Jensen downloadable app, the JWM6A puts the RVer’s stereo control in the hands of the consumer via a smart phone or tablet. RVers can control all of the stereo’s primary functions directly from their mobile device without ever having to enter the RV, get up from their chair or point a remote control. Once connected via Bluetooth, streaming audio can be played and controlled via the jControl app.

With over 1 million Jensen wallmounts using the exact same mounting footprint installed by manufacturers, the JWM6A offers incredible profit potential for RV dealers to replace aging and out of date units, the release continued. With a proprietary JCOM protocol over HDMI, consumers can benefit from high definition picture quality, the release said. The addition of ARC (audio return channel) sends broadcast audio from the TV back to the stereo for surround sound playback.

The stereo features weatherband and alert keeping consumers informed of impending bad weather. The front USB acts as an additional charging port for smart phones and can also play MP3 files through the unit.

The stereo also has 30 programmable station presets, preset scan, automatic memory storage and a credit card remote. When paired with a Jensen TV, the unified remote will operate the entire system. The JWM6A also includes a slot-type DVD mechanism that withstands the bumps and jolts associated with mobile applications. The unit is designed with blue backlit controls, a dimmable display, clock with sleep timer and alarm, along with front audio and video inputs.
