Summary:

City close and country quiet is the motto at ABC and it couldn’t be more accurate. We stayed at ABC in Branson, Mo., during a rally setting and were very impressed.

They worked with us over the phone pre-arrival to place us next to friends, and then when I called to move up our reservations they shuffled things around to accommodate us. We were blown away by the customer service throughout our stay and impressed with their quick response to a torrential rainstorm we had.

Our site was flooding due to the pitch of the road in our area and they quickly arrived with sandbags to create a dam of sorts and redirect the water away from our site. If you are in the Branson, Mo., area, I can’t recommend America’s Best Campground enough!

Pros

  • Top-notch customer service. The staff was always going above and beyond to make sure everyone was enjoying their stay as much as possible.
  • Low key atmosphere. The staff really made you feel at home and wasn’t uptight about our large rally group which included over 100 kids!
  • Great FREE wifi. We all know campground WIFI can be hit or miss, but ABC’s WIFI was usable throughout the campground and plenty fast enough for us to do school and work.
  • Level, gravel, pull-through sites located throughout the campground.
  • All sites are full hook up and include free cable.
  • There is a designated area to wash your car and RV in the back of the campground, so ask about this before you get set up at your site.
  • Extremely clean bathroom facilities in the park. Regardless of the time of day the bathrooms and showers were always spotless.
  • Laundry facilities located right on site. $2 per wash and $2 per dry. Dryers were very efficient and dried two loads in the time allotted for your $2.
  • Many discounts to local shows available. Inquire about this at the front desk.
  • ABC will accept packages and regular U.S. mail on your behalf. This is a huge bonus for full-timers.
  • Weekly and monthly discounted rates available.
  • Less than 5 miles from most of Branson’s attractions, so it makes getting around quick and efficient.
  • There is a decent sized room for groups with a kitchen so this is a great spot if you are hosting a group.
  • There is a game room available for kids and adults too! This is a great option on rainy days if you don’t want to leave the campground.
  • The pool and hot tub are cleaned daily and very well taken care of. There are plenty of pool chairs and tables with umbrellas for when you aren’t taking a dip.
  • The campground store has plenty of souvenirs and convenience items in case you forget anything.
  • The playground is small, but still fun for the kids and located right next to the basketball court.

Cons

  • The area is VERY hilly. We weren’t expecting this at all. Be prepared when coming in with your rig and take it slow.
  • We did have some pretty significant flooding at our site. If possible request a site toward the top of the hill in the campground
