Back on Jan. 15 at 7 a.m., I was able to snag 2 nights at Lower Pines Campground at Yosemite National Park. The booking window opens up 6 months in advance on the 15 of each month, and campsites go fast.
Our drive day was beautiful, but when we arrived, we had thunder showers for a few hours and the campground was a crowded smoky soggy mess.
We tried going out for a little touristy adventure. Instead, we sat behind these cars for over an hour until we decided to go back to the trailer. Lucky for us, Sunday was beautiful.
