Last week we went to the Mono Lake Tufa Reserve three times. The first time, I forgot my camera card. Fortunately, it was just a 10 minute drive from our campsite.
We returned for sunrise, but I felt my photos didn’t really capture the tufas.
Tufa towers, are “calcium-carbonate spires and knobs formed by interaction of freshwater springs and alkaline lake water.”
