Altrua: A health care option for traveling RVers

Are you considering the full-time RV lifestyle with your family, but unsure of how you’ll secure an affordable health care solution?  Perhaps you’re currently uninsured or nervous about not having health coverage for your family.

There are affordable health care options for RVers — and we’re lucky we had it.

DJ NeckThis was a scary day. Thankfully there were no broken bones or damage from his fall.

We know what it’s like to be an uninsured family.  We have experienced our fair share of emergencies on the road and having to decide whether or not the crisis merits a trip to the emergency room and all the associated financial burdens that will come along with it. It adds so much extra stress to the situation.

That’s why we are so excited about the opportunity for shared medical from Altrua Healthshare!

We had heard of health care sharing ministries since we hit the road, but we were not a part of a church, and we knew we couldn’t attain a “clergy signoff” that all of them require.   All of them, but one!

Introducing Altrua HealthShare

Unlike traditional health insurances, Altrua is a medical sharing program that will give you:

  • Low member responsibility amount (a health care sharing ministries equivalent to an insurance deductible)
  • Low monthly contributions
  • Meets the criteria for an exemption from the Affordable Care Act so participants are not subject to the Obamacare fine.

This could be the solution your family has been searching for.  To download a brochure and information booklet to see what programs Altrua has to offer, click here.
