That’s why preparing for your next big camping excursion should include a proper packing list of outerwear essentials. With the right clothing and gear, anything Mother Nature throws your way can be handled with ease.
Here are Dunham’s store manager Marissa Johnson’s tips on what to wear next time one of South Dakota’s many outdoor locales calls your name:
• Layering is key, no matter if the weather is hot or cold. Make sure to bring different kinds of tank tops and camp shirts, such as flannels or button-downs with sleeves, that can be rolled up or down.
• Hiking shoes are great, but not necessary in all camping situations. A sturdy pair of cross-trainers will work fine for most outdoor needs.
